Hi I am a British citizen and my egyptian husband just got his shengen visa aproved however they have given him a trousit visa not a family member of eu spouce visa and it only lasts 10 days.
Can someone explain how he can get a residency visa as we wish to stay there long term and i belive that the travel visa will have expired before we get a residency visa

He w ill need to go to police HQ Floriana to extend the tourist visa while he applies for residency. Residency is tough nowadays as the government wish to sell their passport scheme.
Be very careful as they will deport him if he does not adhere strictly to the procedure.
