How To Cancel E-Pass If You Are Not In Malaysia Anymore

Cancellation requires your passport to be handed to immigration for the validity date of the FW Employment Pass to be shortened. This new system is supposed to stop job-hopping and a job to be linked to one employer who has provided the EP. However, whether this is being enforced is unclear. The only risk is whether your employer has reported you as having absconded from the job.

Because if it is a fact, then what if your current employer is a jerk and they don't want you to jump to another employer, so they just ignore you and never cancel your EP.

It doesn't sound fair. Maybe EP can be cancelled by the employee.

Didnt say only the employer could do it. But you need to be in Malaysia to arrange this as your passport is required.
