Hello everyone,

Thanks in advance for your answer.
I am a lebanese citizen living in poland, i have karta pobytu valid for 3 years. I booked a ticket with Ryanair to spain and i didn't notice that my passport has expired 10 days ago.

My question is:
Does karta pobytu considered as a travel document ? Can i use it to travel within the EU zone even though my passport is expired ?

Hi,

No, unfortunately not. Only passport is a travel document and ID, and residence card is not. The card should be accompanied by a valid passport and then it is a decument confirming your legal stay status.
EU citizens can travel in the UE on their national IDs.
You'll have to postpone your travel until you get a new passport.
