I need some feedback please!

I am Vietnamese-Canadian, my son is Bi-racial Canadian with very little  knowledge of Vietnamese language and the culture.
I am planning to semi-retire in HCMC, VN this Fall with my youngest child.  I'm thinking of registering my son in a Vietnamese elementary school, which will allows him to learn to speak Vietanamese and socialize with the local children.
Are there any parents who experienced my up-coming route, please provide me some of your experiences and an honest feedback is appreciated.
Thank you.

Kelly,

May I suggest one thing that you might want to get started on is visa's for you and your son. Here is a link with some good information:

Can't be much help on the schools, but being your son is Bi-racial and his age, he might have a hard time fitting in. Just food for thought.

Good Luck

Budman1, thanks so much for the link!  I had no idea that was an option!  Now maybe my passport won't fill up so quickly.

Hdang, you are of Vietnamese orgin with the documents to back it up I hope? Another hint, if your CDN passport expires in just a few years or less get a new one before you apply. Good Luck

Budman1:  Yup, I don't have the proof of birth in Vietnam but it says so on my Canadian passport and I can have family over there fill the necessary form to vouch for me so I should be okay.

Regarding your hint, I just got my new passport 5 months ago and it's filling quick!  I'm halfway through it already so this will help... I just need to find a way to sit around in one country for over 7 days to get it done :)
