Hello Faithful friends.
I have a concern and I'm hoping to find some ideas/solutions here from you guys or some of you who have experienced the same before.
I misplaced (lost) my passport and I was wondering:
- if anyone of you knows the procedure of getting a lost certificate here in Budapest ?
- if I am allowed to travel within EU with this lost report or certificate, considering that I have my residence card with me ?
The purpose of travelling with this lost report or certificate is to be able to go to the nearest embassy (because there is none in HU) and apply for a new passport.
What would be the usual legal procedure for such situation ?
I'm a Cameroonian national living in HU.
Any tips would be welcome and well appreciated.

Better give your closest embassy a call as soon as possible.
Not sure about resident card being valid anywhere outside of HU.
Don't chance it , call your embassy.
