How can the amount deposited in the beginning of renting an apartment be taken back from the landlord who failed to provide the apartment for rent?
The rental office took initial deposit of renting the apartment but gave that to someone else. They promised to provide us another apartment but since 3 months they are just showing us properties which are not as good as the one we had selected before and now they say the initial amount won't be returned.
Can I launch a police complain against them? Will there be suitable action taken against them?

if you have the proof and all invoices then yes you can raise a complain
