Moving to islamabad

Hi to everyone.
I want to move to islamabad from uk. I have 4 children 2 over 18 2 under 18.
For family of 6 including rent in i8 sector what will the living cost be.
One child will be going to city school.

Plus I speak fluent English and read write Urdu. What job opportunities will be available.
Highly appreciate reply .

You need to be more specific so that people can answer.

For rent, it depends on what type of accommodation i.e. house, bedrooms, sub sector (I-8/1 2 3 etc) that you are looking for?   to get an idea, take a look at zameen.com

For job, it depends on what your field of work is and what kind of experience do you have.

I have experience with special need schools preschool junior.
I wanted to set up tuition centre or day care centre.

There should be a need for that for sure.  However, the process is likely to be bureaucratic with all the necessary approvals.

Hi Haider,
rent start from 30k upto 70k depends upon the location, portion (1st floor or ground) and condition of house also..
My uncle (Mother's brother) is teaching in special education school/college since 16 years. He can guide you through about that. moreover, opening a day care center is good idea. You can have several depends upon your capital

All depends upon which sub sector you are going to live. because the cost varies from area to area. and if you have planned to open some kind of tuition center that is a great idea having your own business while you have fluency in English and having foreign exposure.

Hello and ramazan mubarak

I am moving to Pakistan in August. I am a child development specialist and will be provide my services to families with children with developmental disorders/special needs.

I was born and raised in England, but always felt my heart belonged somewhere else.
Although only visited pakistan for holidays sporadically through the years; I believe its a place I can call home.

Look forward to hearing from like minded people who have also made the move to Pakistan.

Hi Aba? , hehe

So you are coming with your family ? or alone? didnt get that part :)
Im  also go only for vacation with my husband family.... but is fun only for a season , BUT not for living at least not for living in a family system ( ALL TOGETHER IN ONE HOUSE) can be challenging for us non pakistanis , we appreciate our privacy not like them....

About job oportunities ... if you are gonna be in a big city you might get to work in freelance ....

I recently relocated back to Pakistan having lived in the UK and Saudi Arabia. If you are in the process of settling here then I can help with suggestions around accommodation, kids schooling and how to get started (to get settled) having done so my self with my family.
