Paying a foreign CC in vietnam

How about everyone getting back on topic to avoid the likelihood of having the thread closed.

Yeah, I agree.
It's not just this thread where he militantly defend his views.

I think in terms of its usefullness to the OP it already is effectively closed.  It started with Delafon telling us that he had a way to move money to North America but that he wouldn't tell us how to do it.  He protected it by telling us that "The trick will last as long as it does not come clearly to everybody, and, to government ears in particular."  That was a big help.   :joking:

Jayjones then wrote a truly useful paragraph suggesting Western Union or MoneyGram.  These may be pricey but should work.  Good on him for that.   :top:  He then soured it all with his rant on taxes directed at a girl who just entered the country and likely didn't seek a job without taxes, but apparently took the first  job she was offered and found out about the tax situation later.  She was undeserving of his opprobrium

Let it close.

BUT they are only paying me in cash.

Sounds Fishy! - Generally speaking, anything that sounds abnormal should be a red flag. To deposit cash into a bank account in VN, you have to show where the money came from ( Pay Stub / Letter from Employer with business stamp from employer would suffice in this case )

I want to use the money I'm making

Illegal - This is why the banking laws are strict and why she can not move cash out of VN.

MegVN wrote:

does anyone know how I can do this??

- She is asking for help from https://www.expat.com members to support her illegal activity.

MegVN wrote:

I've been reading that transferring money out of the country is hard enough if you can supply proper paperwork, which I can't

Bold print confirms the above mentioned "illegal activity"

, but does anyone know if/how I can make a credit card payment from here?

she is asking for help ( 2x ) from https://www.expat.com members to support her illegal activity.

Overview of Illegal activity just in the original post - ( Shall I Include the Law Violations, from the countless replies from others in this thread? )

1) Working without a Work Permit. ( Illegal ) - Otherwise she would have the appropriate paperwork, and none of this would even be a problem in the first place.

2) Entering Vietnam for a purpose not disclosed on her visa application. ( Illegal ) - She entered under a tourist visa, and is conducting business.

I call your attention to the Expat.com Terms of service: https://www.expat.com/en/terms.html

Item #2: Any illegal or indecent material for online publication, distribution, defamatory propagation, obscenity, pornography or sexually oriented purposes.

How easy is it to get busted?

I call attention to the same terms of service:
The website also has the discretionary right to advise a user's Internet provider of any inappropriate behaviour. IF a request is made from a legitimate VN Authority, they are stipulating that they would inform that authority of the information they seek. ( Not to mention that Expat.com would be obligated, or subject to DNS blacklist )

Does the button work?

I bet it's a fun time hanging out with JJ.

My acquaintances think so.
