Does Manta have all the requirements as a home base?
The tours on u tube never show Manta... why is that?

I haven't been there for a long time, so maybe some things have changed. Maybe not. But what I remember, it's a dirty town, more industrial not resort oriented, fish processing plants, lots of bad smells, and quite oppressive (to me, anyway) heat and humidity.

Your requirements may differ from mine or someone else. If you could elaborate it would be to your benefit as you'll get better answers.
Manta has an airport, supermarkets, and beaches. What else you need?
