Medical insurance without Iqama

Can I get medical insurance for my wife and myself without an Iqama?

We are on multiple-entry government visas that get renewed every 6 months.  But Bupa have said they won't provide us cover.  Do any other providers cover expats without Iqamas?

Thanks!

You are essentially on commercial visit visas not Iqamas.

I have faced a similar situation in the recent past and unfortunately, no provider agreed to cover me in Saudi without an Iqama.  I believe they report insurance coverage within immigration systems.

The only way around it that I found was to get covered under a GCC wide insurance policy which could be issued without Saudi residency, from either UAE or Bahrain.  I was a resident of Bahrain so it worked for me.

Thanks XTang  - I think I'm coming to that conclusion.  I've been in touch with a broker who is looking into worldwide or GCC health insurance policies for me.

Most people we meet already have medical policies provided by their employers, but I'm technically freelance, so we're on our own!

Good luck. Its easier to get medical insurance elsewhere in GCC... Only Saudi is the issue.
