How much does it cost an average family to live comfortably a day,...daily expense with costs involved bills to food in all in a rented home. How much per person per day?

Well, that depends on what kind of comfort you like.
If you just want a good standard living, that shall be around MUR1000 daily, per person.
May I ask about your intentions / wishes? Maybe I can advise what's best.

Good evening
If we earn about Rs 120 000 per month and we receive Rs 30 000 additionally for rent and Rs 5 000 for transport, would we be able to make it through a month with enough to eat and save a bit in the end? We have been to Mauritius for holiday, but now we want to come and live and work there. Food, milk and even bottled water seems quite expensive there. Would it be worth it for us to make the move from South Africa. We earn about the same salaries here in Rand as we would there in Rupees.
