hi i belive around april or may i am eoropian that live in rio de janiero brasil for long time and i am e special tourist guide will like to stay few days in tana than travel around tmajunga to diego and some safari places i speak 7 langguges but nothing in france thanks for any informtion jacob will only like to learen basic as i am traveling alone visit many fdiffrent african countries before jacob
Yes it is best to know the local language and you can get by here on a hundred Malagasy words that can cover all the dialects.
You do need to know some French as in the numbers one to hundred and one thousand, as these numbers are used in counting money.
I visited Brazil in the 1980's and got by on English but I think they also spoke some French as well, so you may already know the numbers.
