Abdul,

For any matters regarding personal visa, family visa or setting up a business, contact an Ecuador based attorney, in the city to which you will be relocating. Yes, you can do it without an attorney. Yes, some will advise you to do so. Attorney costs are not that high in Ecuador that  think it is worth the risk of doing any of it without an attorney representing you. For all other matters you might have, consult a corresponding specialist, just like you would in your home country.

Hi, I have been here now for a little over 6 months.  In that time I have married an Ecuadorian citizen, gained a permanent visa and got my Cedula (ID Card), effectively now I am Resident.
What I will say is that it was definitely not easy, even with my wife well-placed as a Lawyer in government service with a very wide circle of influential people, and a daughter also a lawyer able to ferry me around to find the right offices for the right things at the right times!
Without being able to speak Spanish this is almost impossible, we have been approached by a number of other lawyers offering their services from around $2000.
Even with the help of my family - all Spanish speaking and well-connected - we still found that the documents needed (translated, notarised and apostilled, including some originals AND translations needing to be notarised and apostilled separately - very odd) changed almost arbitrarily.  There is little value in using the list on the consuladovirtual website as its is quite wrong!
All that said, I am delighted to be living here with my family, despite the many frustrations and set-backs, once my wife has explained the circumstances to the right people (Jefe de Agencia, Coordinator, Minister's Office) then the staff in the offices are very willing to do whatever it takes to achieve the right result.
There is no doubt that Ecuador is suffering an immigration crisis, with a flood of people from elsewhere in Latin America, but if your immigration plans are solid, based on good business judgement and are not going to become a burden on the Ecuadorian Government, then do it.........
