Banned by immigration for 5 year's

Hi,
I'm married to malaysian citizen and stay in Malaysia from 2010 to 2015 under long-term pass , unfortunately I lost my passport before my visa exp, so I applied for new passport but before I receive my new passport , my visa expired . So when I reach immigration they simply banned me for 5 year's. Since its a medical emergency to my dad I came back to India.
Now its 2 year's complete ... My friend said since my wife malaysian and I stayed there due to missing of passport.. I can revoke to cancel the immigration ban .

Can anyone help to know the process regarding this.

Bans are never usually revoked.

So when you left the country the database showed you had no LTSVP and were living illegally in Malaysia.

It's important always to take immigration and passport matters very seriously, and act swiftly.

You need to clear your record in customs. There are certain steps need to follow:
Ask your wife to log a case regarding your visa at Customs head office
Carry police report of your lost passport & a copy of new passport
Letter from Indian Embassy
Marriage cert
Sponsor letter
written letter from your side as well

The whole process is not easy but can get your records clear in customs.
