Hi sorry i am new here and not sure where to look or if it was discussed before but we were hoping to buy a rural property that has another structure that we could rent out.. did anyone did this before? are there many rules and regulations to rent a property out ? and can you live out of it? as we are both quite young and we are thinking of relocating but we would need something to do so we can eat as well.. i was also thinking of doing a tefl course maybe that will help with the job hunt? thank you

Each autonomous community in Spain has it's own set of regulations for renting out a property for a vacation rental. If you want to make money right away then you best be off purchasing an established business rather than waiting several years for renovation work and licence/permissions then having to apply for licences to run a business. To make a real susses you have to work hard as no doubt the competition is fierce.
You have posted this question in the Alicante section. Is that is where you want to settle? If not then where?

Yes we were looking at alicante area .. we don't mind waiting a bit and so it the way we want it but just wanted to know how hard is it to obtain the authorization for it .. but we will probably get a house first with a good bit of land and start the procedures while we still live in Ireland and once we have the ok then go for it
