I don't think there is any data or stats regarding the job opportunities exclusively for expats in Paraguay. Work opportunities vary widely and depends on which carreer one is looking for.
However, there are several job and hiring resources in Paraguay. For example, expats can get in touch with Jobs Paraguay (www.jobs.com.py), Buscojobs Paraguay (www.buscojobs.com.py), or Manpower Paraguay (www.manpower.com.py). These companies specialize in corporate recruitment and they will accept resumes from applicants looking to obtain work in different specialties. Expats can also apply at the US Embassy for available positions.
In terms of what is mostly available for an expat that is not professionaly skilled in a specific area, I would say that retail sales would be the way to go given the number of shopping malls and stores in Asuncion and other cities.
