We are car booters from Scunthorpe and most people claiming and receiving benefits from the national assistance are car booters. Neither the hand out department or HMRC seem to be interested in the money they all make. Some claimants turn up in new Range Rovers.

So is this classed as working or not in Spain and the UK?.

yes you will have to pay taxes. You have to register that you are living in Spain after 90 days and then after 180 days a tax resident.
You are obtaining a pension then you are retired.There is nothing confusing IMHO.

we have no criminal records but have a parking ticket 14 years ago.
