Hi everybody,
I am British, currently living in Zurich, married to an Italian and have 2 children. In a few years time when I retire, my wife and I dream of spending the winter months in Spain and the summertime back in Zurich. We are now starting to look for a property to buy around Valencia and I'm looking for advice on nice towns around that area.
We both play golf so would like to be fairly close to a course but do not necessarily want to be live right next to it. More important for us is that we would be within walking distance of a centre with shops, restaurants and bars.
Would anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Bill, try Villamartin, it has a nice vibe, the centre is really nice, surrounding areas also good, property prices very affordable, good mix of cultures, Google it, then do a street map tour/walk around areas you may be interested in, this will give you a good viewpoint of what is on your doorstep etc

They're all in VERY high demand right now by the expat community and people moving from Valencia. Here's a couple of nice videos about Denia (similar ones available for all of them):
