Hi everyone!

I might be moving to Cairo for work next August. I am happy but a little concern about security for a single woman. Inwould like to hear opinions from other expacts (specially women). I have lived in other countries before but nothing like this.

Firstly, Welcome to Egypt sir. It's easy to find a lot of Expats (Girls) who totally moved to Egypt. Just for help, I sent you some links to check. all of them said that Egypt is safe. There are somethings happened but it's happening in everywhere in the world. I have my friends from Hungary, Switzerland, and Germany who moved Egypt for Studying and working and they feel okay. Media can create fake perspective for what they need.

Castro306, it'll be a challenge living alone here unless you're fluent in Arabic. You'll struggle until you make some friends you can trust, but you will make friends here. I've seen this happen with friends of mine. And they'll help you. There are lots of friendly people in Cairo that love to help foreigners.
