New members of the England forum, introduce yourselves here - 2018

Hi again,

Not easy, in fact practically impossible, unless he qualified in one of the shortage occupation skills lists that's issued by the UK Government; this link will take you there.  Assuming he does qualify, then he would need to find a job with a company that is willing to sponsor his visa application.  Even then, the UK Government have introduced regional quotas for all work based immigration, so if his regional quota has already been allocated, then even if he was qualified, found a job etc, he could still be turned away.

Hope this helps.

Hello everyone,

My name is Dani and I am very interested in moving to England. I currently live in the U.S. I have only been to London once, but I love British television, the countryside, the cultural diversity and the history of England and Europe.

I am in currently working on my MSW and hope to move to England some time (not sure how long it will take) after I receive my degree.

I would appreciate ANY suggestions, comments, and advice that I would need to start the process. I so can't wait.

Thank you,

Dani

Hi Dani and welcome to the Forum.

You'll need a work visa to come and work/live in the UK; I'd recommend you read a post I made earlier regarding that; this link will take you there.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,,
I am a 61 year old Welshman living in Milton Keynes, England. I have been a freelance writer for many years but decided to pack it in an begin writing for myself. I published a trilogy of historical fiction novels on Kindle this year entitled; Iron Blood & Sacrifice and set in the years 55 & 54 BC, when Julius Caesar paid us his two visits.

I spend most of my time blogging about the three books and the same era in our history, getting roughly 1200 reads a week currently. I noticed some startling parallels with my work and the ancient Lludd & Llefelys stories from the Mabinogion when I read them again recently. I must have absorbed this stuff as a boy and some of it percolated through into my work. On reflection, I decided to re-write this mysterious tale of unknown age and give it the; Iron Blood & Sacrifice treatment. This I have just finished and published it as a novella, again on Kindle. I wanted it to be a free book but I had to settle for 99p due to Kindle's rules but I'm pleased with the results.
I look forward to meeting the other members here in due course and contributing to some stimulating discussions I hope.
Regards,
Eifion.

The Law is a regulated profession in the UK; your Nigerian qualifications are not valid in the UK without some further work.  This link will take you to the Chambers website where you will get some further advice.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

To keep this simple, you will only get a work visa and sponsorship into the UK as a doctor.  If you want the details, you can get them from a post at the top of the page "NON EU CITIZENS APPLYING FOR A UK WORK VISA".

Hope this helps.

Hi Cynic,
Thank you very much for your reply, yes i read it before, but a lot of doctors find  work in other fields to sustain their life  because the procedure needs a lot of time and money and i did not found fellowships for help, what is your advice?

Thank you again

You're a Moroccan citizen and as such have no right to live and work anywhere in the EU.  You've chosen to work in the UK, so you'll have to go through the process I've already described; have you read the information on this page. in particular the information about provisional registration?

Hi Cynic,
Thank you very much, no i did not knew about provisional registration, i will do my best,

Thank you again and very nice day

Leila

Hi Arvin and welcome to the Forum.

You haven't told us much about yourself, but from what you have said, as an Indonesian citizen, to work in the UK you will need a UK work visa; the UK is very restrictive on who they will accept for these visa's and I'd recommend you read my "NON EU CITIZENS APPLYING FOR A UK WORK VISA" post on this forum; this link will take you there.

Hope this helps.
