Well I can give you a vague overview.

How much does it cost to rent an apartment or a house in Ireland?

Rents and housing are becoming and already area a huge problem in Ireland. If you want to live in the bigger cities where are plenty of jobs like Dublin, Cork, Limerick etc you PAY! The statistic in the moment for a 2 bedroom apartment in Dublin is around 2000 Euro, a bit lower for outside of the city but its crazy expensive. PLUS there are no  houses, accommodation is very scarce and homelessness is thriving. www.daft.ie is the most common website and you can check there.
There are SOME few affordable-ish acommodation options but then there is a huge long list.

How much does it cost to buy an apartment or a house in Ireland?

I dont know, only know that the prices of houses are rising also big time. And its not easy to get a mortgage at all.

How much do you pay on average for public transportation (bus, subway, train, tram, taxi)?

Taxis are expensive and public transport is existent but not very broad.

This is a helpful website

How much do you pay for basic food items such as rice, bread, and pasta?

Food prices are depending where you shop. Luckily there are everywhere now Lidl and Aldi, some very well stocked German discount supermarkets as the typical Irish Supermarket like Supervalu, where you also buy mostly Irish brands is crazy expensive. But with Lidl and Aldi you can budget quite well in my opinion.

What is your monthly budget for groceries?

That really depends on the size of the family and we are a very small family so I cant tell numbers there.

How much does it cost to see a doctor/dentist/physician/specialist in Ireland?
Healthcare is not on top of the list in Ireland. To go and see a doctor you pay from the start around 40-50 Euro just for consultation and usually everything else then is on top.
Like a filling at a dentist is around 70-90 Euros, Root canal 300 Euro+ only as expamples.

How much do you pay for health insurance per month?

Dont know cant afford it.

How much does childcare cost on average per month?

Childcare can be quite expensive in Ireland especially if you visit a bigger, well staffed creche/playschool. But there is a system for the last few years where a child from 3 years old (I think) for the last year before it goes to school is eligible for 3 hours per day for free in childcare. That applies to all children in Ireland.

What is your child's schooling budget per month?

Also schools in Ireland can be expensive. Especially books. Unfortunately they usually renew every year the books with new editions so you cant pass on the schoolbooks. A few you can but mostly you are required to buy them in a local book shop in the town you are living. When I was living in the country and my daughter was in the main elementary school there I had to pay only for books for the year usually around 100 Euro PLUS fees for art, extracurriculum activities, school fees etc. And not to forget the school uniform. Some shools are stricter and some give more leeways. So if you are lucky to visit a more relaxed school you might get away with a blue cardigan bought in a big shop like TESCO for a few quid. Even Lidl offer them and Aldi but if you are in a more strict school then they require special uniform with school crests on it which can cost then up to 20-40 Euro for a cardigan and jumper.

How much does it cost to fill up your car's fuel tank?

In the moment the fuel is about 1,36-1,40 Euros

How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc., per month?

Also depends on the household and the way you use it. We are quite good and save where we can and we pay every two months about 110 in winter and around 80 in summer. There are also a few options and its always great to compare the companies with each other.

How much do you pay for your internet and phone subscription?

Internet is in the moment one of the cheapest VODAFONE around 40-60 Euro/month only Broadband and then higher prices if you want for example landline with it or TV and so on.

How much do you pay for your lunch pack on weekdays?

How much do you pay for an espresso coffee?

A coffee (well Latte for me) is around 2-3 Euro

How much do you pay for a cinema ticket?

Cinema is around 10 Euro and on Tuesdays its the cheap day and its only 6 Euro

How much does a gym membership cost in Ireland?

Around 40-60 Euro

I hope this helps and I want to mention that the costs shown are mostly for Tralee, County Kerry if not mentioned different so the rents are cheaper in Kerry than in Dublin of course (3 Bedroom house in Dublin would be well over 2000 and in Kerry around 800 - all rents are rising in Ireland now anyway).

Hope that helps, Ireland is a beautiful country, I love it but as a tip BUDGET! It is NOT a cheap country and everything is money here so to come with very little or nothing would not be advisable!
