Looking to immigrate to ecuador/ permanent resident

i am searching on the internet.
it says i can get a permanent residence in ecuador if i open a CD at a reputable bank for $25,000

i am asking the expert expats how safe is this. can this guarantee a residence in ecuador???

The larger banks in Ecuador guarantee well over that amount.

Final decision for any visa rests with the Cancillería.  Law abiding Expats historically have not had a problem getting approved.

The immigration/visa law recently changed, so for the next year or so it is recommended to consult with a visa specialist or immigration attorney before committing financially.

Hi
I think you can contact an expert attorney in order to confirm with this. If you like, please email me. I can give you the contact information.

There were some changes on the law and nowadays it is not possible to apply directly for a permanent visa, you must apply first for a temporary residency visa.

To answer your second question:

Your investment alone is not sufficient to apply for the Temporary Visa under the investment category as there are additional documents that must be filed correctly, reviews and approved. Among these documents will be the required police and federal criminal background checks, translations and Notario confirmation of the same, and filing of proof of investment. If you have a serious criminal background reported, you could be denied a visa.

I am having issues with my Visa attorney.  DO you have any recommendations for an immigration
attorney?

Thank you
