i am applying visa d and the section purpose of journey confused me. which one i should mark on.?we are married for just one month so i dont think so it should be immigrating (for permanent residence) i believe it should be two year married together.

I got a Visa type D - and I answered "employment" in that field ( Purpose of Visit ) - because I had just received a work permit. I don't know how that should be answered if the purpose of your visit is marriage. I'm sure someone here with more experience on that will help you. Good luck.

Tick other, then explain you are going to live with your husband/wife.
This is what I did and had no problems with the D visa.

you need to put reunification with Ukrainian as reason and 90 day visa. if you leave it blank you will be asked reason in embassy anyway
