Traffic in Sweden

Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in Sweden, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in Sweden?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I live  in Kivik, Skåne, just outside Simrishamn.  All I can say is "What traffic?"  My wife and I moved here from Eastbourne in East Sussex just over a year ago and we still cannot get over the lack of traffic.  It takes about 20 minutes to drive into Simrishamn and if we see a dozen vehicles then it is a busy day.  We have driven to Malmo, Karlskrona and Kristianstad and there  has been no traffic problems for us even at going home time.  We spent a week in Stockholm and then the traffic was quite tolerable.

Parking in Skåne has been free everywhere but Karlskrona, Kristianstad and Stockholm you had to pay and I thought it was expensive.
