It would help to know where (which area) you need accommodation in, what your expectations are in terms of amenities and price, and from when until when you need it.
Furnished short-term flats, or even rooms only, in Stuttgart are quite expensive. Budget EUR30-40/night for the most basic places, EUR50-60/night for something more reasonable. You can get a budget hostel or B&B room for not much more - and if you stay for more than just a few months you should consider renting an empty room and furnishing it yourself.
