Paying bills in Sri Lanka

Hello everyone,

What bills do you pay? If you are renting, are bills included in the price of rent, and is this common practice in Sri Lanka?

How can you pay your bills (e.g. online, at provider's store, at the post office)? Which is the most convenient or reliable way?

With what frequency are different bills sent in Sri Lanka? Are there different deadlines for payment?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Customer paying bill at Supermarkets does create queues sometimes though  :( , particularly if there is only one cashier and some golden oldie has rocked-up with all his bills, without organising them and seem to be working out amount to pay, then and there.

Kandy food city has a special counter to pay the bills. Sometimes people are not aware and wait to pay to the cashier.
