Paying bills in Portugal

Hello everyone,

What bills do you pay? If you are renting, are bills included in the price of rent, and is this common practice in Portugal?

How can you pay your bills (e.g. online, at provider's store, at the post office)? Which is the most convenient or reliable way?

With what frequency are different bills sent in Portugal? Are there different deadlines for payment?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

All my bills are separate to the rent for me. I think that's normal.

Seems to fluctuate each month without any clear reason
electricity 20 - 30 euros
gas 15 - 30 euros
water 10 - 20 euros
internet and a thousand channels I never watch - 29 euros

Bills come each month. I pay at the cash machine (you can pay at any cash machine) so that I control and monitor exactly how much goes out but if you have a bank account you can pay automatically. I pay the internet through my bank in order to get the special offer.
