Hello everyone,

What are the most expensive cities to live in Brazil? What are the costs of things such as rent, utilities, weekly groceries, dining out, etc.?

What is the lifestyle like in these cities, for expats and locals?

What are the different neighbourhoods like? Are there more affordable areas?

Do you have any experience living in any of Brazil's most expensive cities? What was it like?

The cost of living throughout Brazil--including city and neighborhood--mainly depends on cost of shelter (e.g., apartment rent or price to purchase). Other living costs in an area are highly correlated with the shelter cost; e.g., restaurants, groceries, clothing. Dear Priscila,
As a tourist guide in Brazil I can tell you that all tourists that I worked with, found Brazil more expensive than they thought, but in general, southern and southeastern states of Brazil ( where most of the tourist attractions are ) are more expensive than the rest of the country,
