Question About Dual Citizenship in the Philippines

Hello, all!

So my question is about Dual Citizenship in the Philippines:

I was born and raised in the Philippines and have a PH passport. But I acquired a Hong Kong passport before the 2003 Dual Citizenship Law was passed. I know I am still entitled to re-apply to get a PH passport again... but never did.

Here is the situation:

- I have a HK passport prior to 2003.
- I have always been renewing my PH passport eversince.
- I have never informed the PH govt that I have a HK passport.
- I have never applied to be a Filipino again after 2003.

Questions:

1. What I am doing--- is that legal--- to have renewed my passport without re-applying or informing the PH govt that I have a foreign passport also?

2. Can I still apply for a dual citizenship despite this situation or are they going to arrest me when I apply?

Thank you. :)

Are you a citizen of Hong Kong?  If not then you are still a citizen of the Philippines.   For a Filipino citizen who became a US Citizen it is easy to go to a Philippines  consulate or embassy In the US And obtain dual citizenship, can happen in one day.
