How to drop ship products to medellin from the usa

I am looking for information about drop shipping products from the USA to Medellin. does anyone have experience with this or uses amazon. if you use amazon, how do you receive the products in Medellin. Do they have business that receive mail in Medellin. In my experience , the postal system is not good in Colombia. I have sent mail from the USA several times, that was never delivered here.

I don't know whether the government's La DIAN aduanas agency would impose heavy taxes on "drop-shipped" products for resale by an Expat in Colombia.  That is something you need to find out as regards your intended products.

As for the postal system in Colombia, it is my experience as well that it is not good.

In fact, "not good" in this case may be a euphemism for awful, pathetic and totally unreliable.

Since May, I arranged twice with a well-known bank in USA to send me an ATM card in Medellín since my bank Visa card expired in June.  Neither card arrived.  Apparently they were sent via 'regular' mail .. as the bank said the envelope(s) could not be tracked.

The national postal service in Colombia is 4-72:

http://www.4-72.com.co/

Expats and natives have reported good service if and when you use the postal code:

http://www.codigopostal.gov.co/

If you click on ¿Quieres ver tu código postal en el mapa?  you can drill-down/click/down to your municipality and barrio and see the 6-digit postal code you must use - or else.

If you don't use the código postal the mail or package ends up in a black hole - it enters the system but it can never leave.
