Health and fitness

Is working in the fitness industry (coach/personal trainer) a job that is available for expats?

From the time Clark Hatch opened the first health club in a parking garage across from the US Embassy many many years ago there have been a few farang managers of health clubs but I never discussed their visa and work permit situation with any of them.  I have also known farang pilates, tennis and tai kwon do instructors but I am not sure if they were working legally or not.  I believe some had influential local sponsors.

There are a lot of Thai trainers who struggle to find good jobs in the industry locally and have to go overseas for better opportunities.  Again, my experience is somewhat dated.

Thank you for your reply
