Colombia Replaces One-Year TP Visas With 'M' Three-Year Visas

Changes in Colombia's visa rules -- announced this month (August 2017) by the government and reported at www.medellinliving.com -- will make life easier for Expats moving to Colombia or extending their time residing there.

The old TP-7 visas, good for one year -- usually based on such factors as pension income or investment -- are being replaced by three-year visas in the 'M' category.

Details can be accessed by googling: medellinliving changes in visa rules.  There is an onward link there to the government source material.

What is the cost of the new visa?

How much more attractive will this make Colombia to Expats who can now avoid the annual proof-of-income and paperwork chase?
