I am an IT professional in India (working for a corporate) , doing considerably good from career aspect (at least I believe that). Recently my wife has got a Belgian work permit and she will be travelling on Long Term D visa. I want to accompany her , but I am afraid as it might affect my career prospect .
I am considering getting a job there and also being self-employed /freelancing.
I have also created a blue-card profile but haven't got any job offer so far.
I also have a long term stay D visa stamped (dependant)
Is it legal to work on long term D visa (dependent)

In Belgium, dependants can search for jobs. If you get hired, the employer must be ready to sponsor a work permit B for you. Or you must hold a professional card.
