Moving to Kuwait in September

Hi,

I will be moving for California, USA to Kuwait - anxious leaving home to a new place, new adventures and new friends. My husband has been there for the last two years.  Will be living near Avenues.

Hoping to get in touch with expats, walking groups, etc and making new friends. Am as anxious as any new expat would be. I am also looking for volunteering places, where they speak English. Don't know  Arabic and think it will take me a long long time to learn it.

Any recommendations for swimming places for ladies, where I can learn. Never to late to learn, so I believe.

Looking forward to new friends and cultivating new hobbies, as till now time was spent raising children.
