Canadian at Large Saudi Arabia

Hi everyone !  In a short time , I've already enjoyed great insight here on expat, and felt the least I could do is explain my context in case it helps others.

I've been in-country nearly 5 years following nearly 4 in nearby Dubai.

I live on a very large oil company compound very near the Bairain border.  We neighbour Dammam and Khobar.

I've been involved with both the men's and the kids ice hockey since I arrived as well as in Dubai previously. 

I've considered my time here as 'celebrity rehab', as it's been some serious clean living .

My darkest vice these days is very strong coffee at dawn.  As you can imagine, the region and the people have grown on me immensely over the years and I anticipate a much bigger reverse culture shock whenever I leave than when I arrived.
