Introduction

Hi...

I'm a 50y/o teacher/lecturer from Scotland, recently moved to Phnom Penh.  Currently I'm looking for accommodation.  Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi

Do you want rent or buy?

1. Check out that you're not in a floating zone
2. Rent: be careful with the costs of power or water. You must pay them directly and by yourself to the city - not to the landlord. Sometimes they take the tripple. A woman had to pay 550 $ in one month - no chance to get back the money. She moved to another place.
3. Visit your place also in the night. You never know about the noise.
4. If you're in the 5th floor or more check if there is a water tank. Otherwise it happens that there is no water for a couple of hours or even days.

If you buy there are much more points to check. And they are different from Sankat to Sankat.

If you have any questions write me.

best regards

Luca
