First, welcome pedro-gmd!
2. You should really start your own Topic/Thread imo, since your situation is different from Joe & Emma's.
3. With the present situation in Libya, and I'm no expert here, I would go straight to the Canadian Embassy in Libya and ask for the normal immigration procedures and also refugee status procedures.
Good luck, and try not to get cut in half by anti-aircraft bullets used by Muammar Gaddafi's mercenaries against your people... really
