Hoping to move to Czech - bring my mandolin?

Hello everyone

Happy to have found this forum. I visited Czech last year and want to be back in Budapest for a wedding in September so would like to explore Czech more in depth. Areas like Brno and Swiss Bohemia interest me because I am a Geography lecturer and travel to play in caves and climb volcanos the world over - but Czech stole my heart.
Obviously questions about how to find a job, I have done a lot of research but any suggestions appreciated.
I speak only English and some bizarre island languages like Pidgen which are not much good anywhere else lol.
Is there a music scene around outside of Prague? I am not  looking to join a band, unless the Foo Fighters need me, but enjoy music (not festivals/raves - I'm getting too old to stand in line for the toilet that long lol)
