Recognition of foreign qualifications in Norway

Coming from the Philippines, there are parts of Nursing education that they recognize. An example is one can right away seek authorization to be a helsfagarbeider/general health care worker, that can allow you to work in hospitals or nursing homes with a good salary right away (Of course as long as you speak the language).

As for trying to get the nursing authorization, the common assessment result that they give is that there are a missing 60 points when they compare the nursing education of the Philippines to Norway. This assessment was done to someone I know who has completed BS Nursing with a PRC license but without experience. The 60 points can be complete through their suggested courses.

I don't know if there is a difference if one has experience, I am currently waiting for my result (BS Nursing with PRC license and 1-year experience)

Also for this kind of authorization, they require a good command of the Norwegian language before you can continue to the needed courses, to fulfill the requirements in seeking Nursing authorization.
