Recognition of foreign qualifications in Egypt

Hello everyone,

Were your professional qualifications recognised in Egypt? What country did you complete your qualifications in? What profession are you in?

Did you have to go through any formalities to get your qualifications recognised, such as to have them translated?

If your qualifications weren't recognised, were there any additional tests or exams you had to complete before you were able to practice your profession in Egypt or continue with your studies?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Priscilla

I am a pediatrician....
every doctor I have met in Egypt has asked me to join their practice
even the Veterinarian....lol
so I dabble a little

but teach English
that is what they need the most
to get a better job

Hi Laady24
Then why is it so difficult to get a visa for yourself any professional would sponsor you

the laws were changed on March 1 2017 and

I did not know until March 15 so had to start over

and I have been in Egypt now 11 years so want to apply for my citizenship

and I never ask any thing of other

and it is not as easy as you just saying it

many things to take in to consideration

Believe me. I am not saying it is easy. I have been in Egypt for almost five years
I came on my own Found work and was sponsored straight away. I received a five year residency visa
What I was trying to say is that with a good profession behind you any hospital or specialises doctor would be happy to sponsor you
I Egypt is in dire straits for good professional medics and most medics are really happy to help exchange knowledge
I have the utmost respect for Egyptian medics. Give it a try

thank you I did work befor the revolution in a

hospital in Mohandaseen ...

but I enjoy working a little here and a little there

in Luxor and in villages around Cairo I do not want to work full time

as I go every year to see my other in New York

she is well never sick but is 99 so I have to go and see her

and I love my freedom after all these years of work

and I am much healthier in Egypt little stress in Egypt

but thank you again

I too return to my country of origin for two or three months every year. I work three days a week so have plenty of time to do what I want. I have friends in Dubai so I visit them at least three times a year
Most Employers here are happy to accommodate expats and their travelling. They understand we need to keep in touch with family  and home. I usually return home in the Egyptian summer

if I owned my own flat in Egypt I would never leave

no have to see my mother every year and that is so expensive

I do not think she will ever leave she is 99 never sick

she does so much volunteering keeps busy all the time

I love my home in Florida but want to be in Egypt
