Flight ticket from South Africa to Vietnam

Good Day

I have a question for South Africans that traveled from Johannesburg to Vietnam.

Do I need to buy a return flight to exit Johannesburg airport or to enter Vietnam, or can I get away with a one way ticket?

I don't want to waste money on a return flight if it is not necessary, but I also don't want problems at the airport.

A speedy response will be much appreciated.

it depends on the mood of the person at the counter at the airport. Some people get away with a one way ticket, others don't. it also depends on which Visa you will be applying for to come to vietnam. Tourist visa now requires a return ticket, while i think business visa you can still get away with it.

You can refund your return ticket at a later date, altho you wont get much back. Either way, it is best to have a return just encase.

Just tell them you are going by bus from Vietnam to Cambodia. Many people travel on a one way ticket to Vietnam.
