Hi everyone,

we are a EU couple with wife working in Muscat and we would like to apply for a family joining visa for the husband.

Having met all the basic requirements to apply, does anyone know if it's legally possible for a working woman to apply and get the family visa for the husband?

Hi Snoopy1824,

The Oman Labour Law offers the privilege of sponsoring the family as dependants only to the husbands who meet with the set eligibility criteria.

A wife is not allowed to be a sponsor to her husband.

The easiest chance in this case is that the husband could come over on a visit visa and land a job. Then it becomes easy as he could then come back on an employment visa.
