Hi

I'm new to the forum and currently live in the UK. We have visited the Algarve many times and love the region. We have a location that we really love and each time we visit we see a very run down villa. I would really like to find out if the villa is for sale as we plan to continue to holiday in the area and most likely retire to the area in the next 10 years. The villa I've seen is obviously vacant but I appreciate there is quite a bit of history with property ownership in the Algarve. What I think I need to do is find a lawyer who can establish who owns the villa and see if it could be for sale. If anyone could recommend someone reliable, suitable, english speaking it would be much appreciated.

We used a lawyer, Ana Filipa Patameira in Portimao and she was excellent. She went over and above the call of duty for us, was friendly, reliable and efficient. Cannot recommend her highly enough.
