Hi Teresa. . I'm an Indian who moved to Qatar a year back. Let me just brief you about my views on Qatar.
1) Zero crime due to the strict laws
2) A good number of malls and hotels are here for entertainment
3) There are a few beaches
4) The city is very small and clean
5) Well paid jobs (especially RN are in high demand owning to the huge expansion in healthcare facilities)
6) House rents are ridiculously expensive ( But your hospital will provide you with free accommodation)
7) No mode of reliable public transport (usually provided by employer)
8) Climatic conditions are extremes
