Como Permanente visa stamp in new Passport

I will be needing to renew my US passport in the nearish future. I have my Permanency, CIE and stamp in my Passport 'como Permenante' when I renew my passport do I need to go back to the PF and have them stamp my new Passport? can that happen at immigration if I show my Old Passport and CIE?

Any guidance would be helpful.

I'm currently living in the US with Brazilian spouse but I travel back and forth frequently enough.

Thanks.

I would just go to the PF and ask therm what to do......all my experiences with them have been great, they will probably just issue you a new stamp, once you have the CIE card the passport and VIPER are not that important anyway.

You can just show your old passport with the stamp in it. That is how my wife does it with her passport.

Just FYI some of the Policia Federal units have completely stopped stamping the passport as they say that the CIE or the Protocolo is all what you need to travel in and out of the country.
