Naturalisation and citizenship in Aruba

Hello everyone,

What are the requirements for acquiring citizenship in Aruba? For example, length of residence, language requirements, employment etc..

What formalities are involved in the process?

What is the policy on dual-citizenship in Aruba? Do you have to give up your former nationality?

What are the advantages and benefits of acquiring Dutch citizenship, in your opinion?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello Bhavna,

It really depends on what permitting you have in Aruba! You must atleast stay 10 to 15 years permit without denial of a paper each year and you must take a test of "papiamento"  which is he language here and "dutch" you must pass that in order to be qualified!

Dual citizen ship I am not sure if it is Holland don't want dual ship or Philippines itself ! However in my case I am not allowed to have dual passport !

This year I just submitted mine and it takes one year for the process and since I was a student here from highschool to college I didn't have to do any test!

Hope this helps!
