Hello all,
We will be applying for a residence permit and will have to provide proof of health insurance. Our present coverage is with Blue Cross. They have told me that they will reimburse me for health care costs incurred in Hungary but I cannot use them directly for treatment in Hungary. Is this enough to satisfy the immigration requirement?

Laws and regulations change here all the time. What worked last year, for one person, may no longer be allowed.
I advise you simply ask at the Hungarian consulate where you are filing your residence permit to request what is considered currently acceptable coverage.
