My husband and I will be visiting Mauritius for a few days to look at properties as we are intending to retire there in a few years. We would love to meet up with any expats who have already made the move and wonder if there are any events planned for these dates?

I have to admit, I'm fascinated by UK Brits wanting to "retire" here (it's so different here). Admittedly although I was born, grew up, worked England until recently then ended up here 8 months ago I do have a large extended family that are Mauritian and my parents returned here (to retire early) many years ago. So it's a bit different for me. I missed the 27th item at Labordonaise hotel so guess I should look out on this forum for more meet/event dates wherever they are. (Ruth Gray, love the 'afternoon tea' item pointed out at L hotel, a shame I missed going along to say hello too).

Any events 24th - 27th May?
