What precautions shall be taken in the documentation process?

Hi Dears,
I am Dr. Ahsan. Recently I got an employment offer from teaching institute based in Oman. My prospective employer sent me a document of Ministry of Higher Education, Oman which asks for my written consent to get or inquire any information about my academics or about my job experience. As I have not told about this to my current employer (a public sector university) I am afraid that they might provide some unfavorable information in case the MOHE Oman contacts them. Can someone please guide me what shall I do in this matter? Is there any chance of Ministry of Oman contacting the current employer to validate information?

I will highly appreciate if some one can share his/her personal experience regarding this matter. Thanks in anticipation of your guide and assistance in this matter!
