VISA TO AUSTRALIA

Hello

My wife and I would like to start a partner visa to Australia some time this year. Now that's all good that part.

Since November 2016 there was new laws put in place around no Violence or jail time over 12 months.

I have criminal record over 10 years old and yes some violence, and its not against woman or children. I am under the view that I'd be refused to start with and then I may need to show reason.

Does anyone have any good info they can share here or any experience since November 2016.
